Iconic Halong Bay, Vietnam with 1,900 islands
This stop was a highlight of the cruise. Today Halong Bay is a Unesco Heritage Site
and now one of the World’s 7 Natural Wonders.
Sadly for most disappointed people, the entire Bay and town was fogged
in all day. For Glenn and me, along with
maybe 20 other insane Kayakers, we had a terrific day. Fortunately we booked the Kayak tour in
advance, otherwise we would have totally thought twice between the gloom and
fog. Took a Junk Boat out to the
floating docks to pick up the Kayaks for some beautiful scenery and caves. Note that Roz courageously was taking selfies
on the kayak as Glenn did his best to photo bomb while I tried to keep the
camera dry. Got to go, time for lunch
and Maj Jong.
